The last thing you’d expect Tim Duncan to be a fan of is cars, particularly vintage cars. But apparently he can’t get enough of them. Here’s a soft-spoken, laid-back-looking guy who you thought that his only passion would be for the game of basketball. Well, he’d like to clear the air and tell you that basketball isn’t the only thing he loves. The mere mention of vintage rides automatically sends him to a frenzy. It’s something that – once initiated – he can’t stop talking about. So given his penchant for old rides, him having a top five list of his favorite vintage cars doesn’t come as a surprise to us. So without further delay, here are the top five vehicles that Tim Duncan gave when he was interviewed by ESPN’s Chris Sheridan.
1950 Mercury

Tim Duncan’s “numero uno.” This vehicle is what Tim affectionately refers to as his “lead sled.” Why? Because it just happens to be a very fast car with a classic looking exterior. Now who in his right mind wouldn’t want that to lead the pack?
1968 Chevrolet Camaro

Tim happens to own a hardtop version of this vehicle. It’s painted black and carries a 502 crate motor. According to Tim, the 502 is a high-performance replacement engine that could be specially ordered. As if the engine of a Camaro isn’t powerful enough already, huh?
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible

Another vehicle that Tim happens to own. He had his Bel Air convertible fully restored by giving it an all-white interior and exterior. Tim was able to acquire the vehicle from a friend of his after seeing it in his lot in California. Talk about a lucky break.
1969 Dodge Charger

It was simple why Tim included this muscle car in his list. That’s because the Dodge Charger happens to be the ride used in the TV series, The Dukes of Hazzard. Let’s face it, even we know how cool having one of this car is. Since Tim doesn’t have one yet, he’s bound to be on the lookout for one.
1966 Pontiac GTO

Again ,Tim doesn’t have this in his collection, but it’s only a matter of time before he does. With an engine that can go well beyond 300 horsepower, it’s not a surprise why Tim wants to get his hands on this four-wheeled baby. And fast.
