Limited 1987 Porsche 928 S4 For Sale

Limited 1987 Porsche 928 S4 For Sale

Want a car that can get you a hot date? Well, then feast your eyes on this black beauty. This, my friends, is a limited 1987 Porsche 928 S4. With only 300 of these made, it’s considered somewhat of a collector’s item among car enthusiast. Plus since it only chalked up a total of 54,000 miles, buyers are assured of the car’s quality.

Aside from its low mileage, this slick ride offers a new timing belt, caps, rotors, plugs and filters. Wheels were fabricated by combining a set of 18” Porsche Sport Design, 2-pc powder-coated/polished wheels. They’re paired up with a Kuhmo Ecsta MX tires both for the front and back.

Finally, the owner is willing to throw in parts that were already purchased prior to his (or her) decision to sell the car. This includes valve cover gasket kit, a Multi-port Ford Motorsport fuel injectors, a new fuel line kit, factory steering wheel, exhaust, and factory wheels.

So if you’re hell-bent on making a lasting impression with your date and you’ve got money to spend, this car should be on your hit list. Even if it’s carrying a hefty price tag of $18,000, it’s going to be money well-spent if you manage to take home the prize.

Nothing Beats The Testarossa

Nothing Beats The Testarossa

Based on the image above, even Dr. Dre couldn’t resist having a Ferrari Testarossa appear in his video back in the day. Slick, cool and stylish. Drive by any neighborhood and you’re assured of not leaving empty handed, if you get our drift. So what makes this ride tick? Well, you’ll have to look into its unique way of distributing power. By having it go through its rear wheels, the Testarossa is able to maintain the center of gravity in the middle of the car. This allows it to enjoy better stability and improve cornering. So if you’re surprised as to why people don’t get enough of the Testarossa, don’t be. With the performance it gives, it’s expected to be a must-have among car enthusiasts.

Classic Testarossa Left For Dead In Hussein Household

Classic Testarossa Left For Dead In Hussein Household

Trust us, this isn’t how you take care of one expensive Italian sports car. Unfortunately, if the country your father is running happens to be run and invaded by U.S. troops, the last thing you’ll think about is to salvage this thing of beauty. And since the Hussein family has fled their home in Iraq, this cool pink Lamborghini Testarossa has been left for dead. It’s quite sad especially since this is one sleek ride if properly maintained. Although it looks like it needs some cleaning, rumors have been circulating that the car has been pillaged by U.S. troops. So even if you do get to look spick and span, without the right parts, this car’s pretty useless. Such a waste if you ask us.

Jaguar E-Type Pulls Off A Human Torch And Flames On

Jaguar E-Type Pulls Off A Human Torch And Flames On

No matter what type of car you own, the last thing you want is to see it go up in flames. So you can just imagine what the owner of this 1971 Jaguar E-Type was thinking as he saw his classic ride fire up…literally.

According to the firemen who attended to this case, the owner purchased the car the day the incident occurred. They didn’t know what caused it, except that it started from the passenger compartment before completely engulfing the insides of the car. Talk about having a really bad day, huh? Not to mention a very bad investment.

Let’s just hope that the owner of this classic ’71 Jaguar E-Type found a way to restore the car. Or at the very least, found a way to get his (or her) money back.

Looking At A Restored 1947 Ferrari 166 Corsa Spyder

Looking At A Restored 1947 Ferrari 166 Corsa Spyder

The 1947 Ferrari 166 Corsa Spyder is the fourth Ferrari vehicle ever built and one of the rarest. Practically only eight of these cars were ever built. That’s the reason why James Clark, a resident of Vancouver, Washington, should be lucky to own one.

Purchased in 1947 for only $3,800 (which was probably pretty big back then), the ’47 Ferrari 166 Corsa Spyder had to go through a string of restorations before reaching the look it has today. According to Clark, it took him years to get the restoration done.

The car is packed with a SOHC 2.0-liter V12 engine and paired with three Weber carburetors. This allowed the ’47 Corsa Spyder to produce 110 horsepower. As for its body, a combination of aluminum placed on a tubular steel frame was used to construct it. Its suspension is given a set of double wishbone control arms, semi-elliptic leaf springs, friction and dampers at the front. To complete the car, a set of live axle, semi-elliptic leaf springs and Houdaille friction dampers were placed at the rear.

Since James Clark has made no mention of any plans to sell this classic vehicle, you’ll just have to settle for the image posted right here.

The Triumph Of The Stag

The Triumph Of The Stag

Mercedes-Benz had a lot of competitors during the early 70’s. Since they were one of the companies positioned to be a top-of-mind luxury brand, this doesn’t come as a surprise. One vehicle that was created to go against Mercedes-Benz and give the company a run for its money was the Triumph Stag.

The Triumph Stag was produced to go against the SL series of Mercedes-Benz. To adapt to the American standard for creating automobiles, this four-seater sports vehicle was given a B-pillar roll bar that enhanced its structural rigidity. It also came with a removable hard top allowing you to experience driving without a roof over your head.

As for its engine, the Triumph Stag was equipped with a 2997 cc or 3-liter engine that increased the vehicle’s torque. It also replaced its previously used fuel injection components with a set of dual Zenith-Stromberg 175 CDSE carburetors. This allowed the car to conform to the emission standards set in the U.S. This engine was later replaced with a Triumph Slant-4 engine, which had a single-overhead cam that’s made from iron block and packed with aluminum heads.

Upon its release, the Triumph Stag was well received until problems slowly appeared regarding its cooling, lubrication, finish, ignition, and its rubber components. As a result, its engine wasn’t regarded as the one of the best during its release, causing it to be used mainly for this vehicle line.

However, despite its problems, the Triumph Stag still remains quite popular to this day. According to reports, around 9,000 units are still being used in the United Kingdom. Not only that, but clubs have been set-up just for this classic ride. And as for its problems? Well, thanks to modern technology and the dedication of its owners, that’s been resolved to. So if you were thinking of getting this vintage ride, now’s a good time to get one.

Lamborghini’s Most Popular Miura

Lamborghini’s Most Popular Miura

Lamborghini prides itself in being a trend setter in the automotive industry. One car that helped the company establish itself as one is the Lamborghini Miura P400SV.

Considered the most famous Miura ever released, the Lamborghini Miura P400SV enjoyed a boost in horsepower thanks to the vehicle’s different cam timing and altered carburetors. This gave the car an additional 15 horsepower, increasing it to 380 horsepower.

Aside from making changes to its engine, there were also revisions made to its exterior. This includes the removal of the car’s standard “eyelashes” placed around its headlights. The P400SV was also equipped with wider rear fenders to support its 9-inch wide rear wheels and Pirelli Cinturato tires.

So just how popular and famous is this model? Well, Frank Sinatra owned one. That pretty much solidifies the popularity of this sports car, don’t you think? Oh, and there’s also this thing about it being limited to just 150 units. That kind of helped too. But not as much as the impact made by “Ol’ Blue Eyes” in our opinion.

The Epitome of Cool And Sleek

The Epitome of Cool And Sleek

Sports cars will always be cool and sleek. It’s practically a standard for these types of vehicles. And one of the sports cars that’s capable of being both cool and sleek is the Maserati Merak.

Released in 1972, the Maserati Merak was hailed as the “junior version” of the Maserati Bora. However, what sets apart the Merak from the Bora is that Maserati equipped the Merak with a quad-cam V-6 engine. This engine is smaller in size compared to the V-8 engine used by the Maserati Bora. By doing this, Maserati was able to save more and gave the vehicle more room to install a smaller backseat. Not only that, the sports car got to enjoy improved handling and distribution of weight thanks to its lightness.

During its production run, which lasted until 1982, the Maserati Merak had three variations produced. The first was the Citroën era Merak, which was produced from 1968 to 1975 when the company was still owned by Citroen. This version of the Merak sported a 3.0-liter Maserati V-6 engine that emitted 190 horsepower. It carried a Bora bodyshell, which allowed it to have more space when combined with its small engine. This space was used to create a second row of seat for children or small adults. This version also had a hydraulic brake system and unique-looking dashboard.

The second variation of the Merak came in 1976 and was christened the GEPI era Merak. Also known as the Merak SS, it was considered to be more powerful and lighter. Its engine was able to produce 15% more power allowing it to reach 220 hp. Its weight was also reduced by a whopping 152 kg. This weight drop enabled the sports car to run up to 152 mph at every outing. The sports car also relied on the use of hydraulics instead of the previous Citroen high pressure system. Aside from having better performance, the GEPI era Merak sported a more posh interior and dash. This made it more upscale than its predecessor.

The third and last variation was the DeTomaso era Merak. Produced in 1977, this version of the sports car was dubbed the Merak 2000 and was built solely for the Italian market. . It carried a 2.0-liter V6 engine that was capable of producing 170 horsepower. It sported glassless flying buttresses compared to the standard fully glassed rear that previous models had.

After the production of the Merak 2000, Maserati had the production of this sports car put to an end in 1982. However, it doesn’t diminish the fact that the Maserati Merak is still one of coolest looking sports cars around.

Morgan’s Savior

Morgan’s Savior

Aside from being recognized as a cool sports car, did you know that the Morgan Plus 8 is also considered a life saver? Well, it didn’t save human lives. However, it did prevent Morgan from crumbling, which, when you think about it, helped save the employees from losing their jobs. So, this means that the car did manage to save human lives. Anyway, we’re not here to talk about the car’s humanitarian qualities. We’re here to talk about how this sports car made waves for more than 30 years.

With a chassis that was similar to the one used by the Morgan Plus 4, the Plus 8 sported three engine types: a 3.5-liter V-8, a 3.9-liter V-8, and a 4.6-liter V-8. These engines were powered by two carburetors. And with the release of an EFI version of the Plus 8 in 1983, the sports car was able to achieve enhanced horsepower enabling it to beat out a Porsche during one of its road tests. That itself says a lot about this ride.

Aside from having an array of engines, the Morgan Plus 8 also sported a number of gear boxes over the years. There was the Moss Gearbox which was used from 1968 to 1972. This 4-speed manual transmission came with synchromesh for its second, third, and fourth gears. Then from 1972 to 1977, the Plus 8 used a Rover 2000 Gearbox, which is a 4-speed, manual synchromesh transmission. 1977 to 1995 saw the Morgan Plus 8 use the Rover LT77, a 5-speed all-synchromesh manual transmission. Last was the Rover R380, a 5-speed manual transmission similar to the LT77. This was used for models built from 1995 through to 2004.

Because it became an instant classic, the Morgan Plus 8 managed to not only save Morgan from folding, it also managed to enjoy three decades of success. Now that’s how you pull off the role of being a savior.
