Classic ’65 Shelby To Be Auctioned At Mecum Auction

It seems a lot of vintage cars have been headed for the auction block lately. It’s either its current owners aren’t interested in them or they badly need the money. At any rate, it gives the collectors a chance of adding another car to their collection.

One perfect example where collectors can jump at the chance of getting a collectible car is at the Mecum Auction where the 1965 Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe of Caroll Shelby will be auctioned off. This car was known for winning the World Manufacturers Championship in Reims, France, on July 4, 1965. At that time, the car was driven by the legendary Bob Bondurant.

The car, which has undergone restoration, is set to headline the 22nd Dana Mecum Original Spring Classic Auction which will be held from May 13 to 17 in Indianapolis.

So if you’re interested in adding a championship car to your collection, better start making reservations today. Unless you’d like somebody else to run off with this vintage collectible.
