Normally, when you take a peek at the backyard or garage of a vintage car collector, you’d expect to see a
collection of vintage cars. What you wouldn’t expect to turn up is an old 1965 Turin Salon Lamborghini Miura car chassis. Well, that’s not the case with the collection of former Lamborghini dealer Marios Kritikos.

The vintage 1965 Turin Salon Lamborghini Miura chassis (which happened to be a show car) has been in the storage house of Kritikos, located in the island Cyprus in the Mediterranean, for more than 30 years. As Cyprus’ original Lamborghini dealer, it doesn’t come as a surprise that he was able to get his hands on this one-of-a-kind car part. So how did Marios Kritikos manage to get a hold of this vintage Lambo chassis, you ask?

Well, it started when Kritikos visited the Lamborghini factory. This is was where he spotted the 1965 Lambo chassis. Recognizing it as a unique vintage piece, he immediately worked on purchasing it. He returned the following April, finalized the sale of the Lamborghini Miura chassis, and then took it back home to Cyprus. And to ensure its authenticity (in case someone questioned it in the future), the purchase was documented through photographs, complete with an invoice.

The 1965 Turin Salon Lamborghini Miura chassis would remain in the Kritikos collection (untouched by the way) until it was discovered this December. Currently, the restoration of the chassis is being worked on at the facilities of the Bobileff Motorcar Company, located in San Diego, California. All this was possible thanks to the efforts of two Miura specialist collectors who worked on getting the chassis to its new owners.

Here’s hoping that the people at Bobileff Motorcar Company are able to pull off the restoration of this classic vehicle. For now, check out the images posted here to find out what the 1965 Turin Salon Lamborghini Miura chassis looked liked when it was first purchased.
