This is probably one of the best reasons why you should always have your car parked inside your garage. That way, you won’t have to go crazy when a fire truck decides to flatten it down like a pancake. Now if you think that something like this happening to you sounds far-fetched, well, the owner of this 1969 Firebird race car thought of the same thing too. Until it actually happened to him.
The incident occurred in Ponderosa Drive in Clear Creek County, located in Denver. The fire truck was situated atop a winding mountain road when its weight caused it to lose balance. This caused the truck to go crashing down the mountain side and onto the unsuspecting ’69 Firebird. While the truck’s driver suffered only minor injuries (thanks to the fact that he was wearing his seatbelt), the car wasn’t so fortunate. It’s a good thing though that no one was inside the car when it happened.
According to reports, the owner of the ’69 Firebird had been working on this vehicle for 30 years. Funny, what took him 30 years to make took only 30 seconds to destroy. Anyway, here’s hoping he gets compensated for this loss. So again, keep in mind; park your car inside your garage. Better yet, don’t live near the mountains and stay the hell away from fire trucks.
