New Theme, Retro Design

If you were around during the 80’s , you’d remember the consoles which required you to jack in cartridges to play video games. So we won’t be surprised if this retro design brought back some sweet memories (and probably a tear or two) from those days gone by. What’s great about this work, which was made by Penney Design, is the fact that they were able to blend what was cool back then with the things that are considered hip today. Take this design for a Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift video game. Just by looking at it, we’re reminded of the Atari games we played when we were kids (yes, we’re as classic as the vintage cars we write about). While there aren’t actual vintage cars shown, it’s the pixilated design that gives it a touch of being retro, which is why we wanted to showcase it here. It’s just too bad that this game won’t be launched in this era. Although, if it did, we think that only the dads and granddads would end up falling in line for it.
