Porsche Celebrates Cars By Opening Its Own Museum

Guess what? Porsche just opened its very own museum. Okay, you must be wondering, what’s this got to do with vintage cars? Well, it’s got a lot to do with them actually. Since museums are known to carry bits and pieces of history, Porsche’s new museum will be doing the same thing.

Now before you make a dash for it, the new Porsche museum has yet to open. Officially, the museum will open its doors to the public on January 31. The facility will be putting on display all of Porsche’s creation from every era. That includes production vehicles, concept cars, racing vehicles, and even automobile chassis. On top of these displays, the Porsche museum will house an archive of 3,000 books, thousands of hours of film and over 2 million images.

So what was Porsche’s reason for putting up this museum? No, it’s not their way of rivaling the Henry Ford museum located in Detroit. The purpose is actually quite simple. It’s the company’s way of celebrating its cars. If only our parents would do something this grand whenever we celebrated a special occasion, let’s say, our birthdays.

Anyway, whether you’re a Porsche fanatic or you’re just plain curious, here’s the chance you’ve been waiting for to get a glimpse of the company’s various creations. Oh, just make sure you’ve got a way to go to Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen where the museum is located. That’s in Germany, kiddies.
